Today I’ll be highlighting some of the enormous benefits of becoming an entrepreneur, starting and growing your own business while setting yourself up for financial freedom and independence.
There is a high possibility that you were once told that you needed to get a “real job” or a “proper job”. When growing up, we were often told and encouraged to look after normal or common 9/5 jobs. Whenever we try to take on a different route, we are quickly cast out as naive and told to give it up. When I decided to become an entrepreneur, this was something that I heard multiple times, even from some of my closest buddies.
However, trying to do something different despite what people tell you might be incredibly rewarding. For me, it put an end to my crazy unfulfilling salaried job, made me forget things such as a minimum wage, or just overall wage. It made me focus more on profit, making a difference in people’s lives and simply striving to grow beyond my own wildest imaginations.
This doesn’t happen when you are working for someone else. You spend most of your time helping someone else achieve their dreams, instead of focusing on yourself.
When you decide to become an entrepreneur, however, many things start to change and you can finally start to build your own empire.
1. Goodbye Curriculum Vitae

One of the first things that I learned to let go when starting my own business was the famous Curriculum Vitae (CV). I wasn’t looking for any jobs anymore, but creating and building my own. Therefore, I started to have business meetings instead. Gathering the connections and doing the necessary network to create my own empire.
By any means, you do not need to start big. Just starting, and taking that first step is already a good thing. Say goodbye to your CV and start working on your business plan. To do that, we welcome a new name, a Pitch Deck. A Pitch deck is a brief presentation of your business plan. This will be essential to let other people know about your plans for a business. To show you know what you are doing.
Instead of using a CV to try and sell your hours, you will then use a Pitch deck to try and sell an idea. Gather Investors that will be willing to help you grow, and obviously, grow with you. Pitch decks won’t have the courses you had while in College or the extra classes you took. But instead an opportunity to build something to call your own.
2. Be your own Boss

Ah, the horror for many employees. Nothing worse than to have to report daily to a rude manager that expects way too much from you. Such dedication to building something that isn’t yours. When you become an entrepreneur, you don’t really need to report to anyone. But instead, start to practice the habit of creating your own reports. Not because somebody needs to check them, but instead, because you need to keep a close eye on your own business.
When you are your own boss people will be reporting things to you, and not the other way around. You might also run your business however you want, in a way that you find effective. Hierarchy might be good and even essential for most businesses but things are sure to be different when you are at the top. You will have the power to create the environment that you want.
3. Wages & Profit

I always felt somehow extremely unmotivated when I had a salaried job. The fact that you are earning a fixed wage might make you slack off every now and then. What is the point of trying to improve every day if you will stay receiving the same amount each month? An entrepreneur doesn’t have a set wage, but instead, have set goals and strives to make a profit.
Odds are that you won’t have a much stable financial life while living on a wage. But many entrepreneurs do grow to a very comfortable stage when their companies manage to earn a good profit. There is also the possibility of growth. When working for somebody else, even if the company grows, chances are you still earn the same.
But when you are an entrepreneur, you grow with the company. And better yet, your own company. You also have the opportunity to offer better chances for your employees as well. Making a difference in your life, as well as helping others and giving them the chance to work on a different and more functional environment. Are you brave enough to take the first step?
4. More time to live…

Maybe one of the biggest advantages, when you decide to become an entrepreneur, is the flexibility. Of course, you will still need to put your nose to the grindstone and work pretty hard in order to succeed. However, you are the boss of your own times and priority. Having a flexible schedule allows you to pursue other things that are important to you. Such as spending time with family and friends or even having a hobby,
You also don’t have a set routine. Working from 9 to 5 every day, almost in a robotic manner. Every day is different, and you can change it accordingly to what you decide to prioritize that day. Being an entrepreneur requires a lot of discipline. But you will have the motivation needed knowing that this is all yours. And you can finally focus on your own vision, instead of following somebody else’s. Let me tell you, there is nothing more satisfying than waking up every day knowing you are doing things for yourself.
Final Thoughts

Are you ready to embark on a new journey and change the course of your life? Being an entrepreneur can be quite a huge challenge. However, it can also highly improve your quality of life and allow you to do the things you’ve always wanted. All this while having more time for yourself and family, growing in profit and pursuing your dream.
Say Goodbye to your boring desk job and start going after your own vision. Become an entrepreneur today and start living that life you’ve always dreamed of!
