A real, productive person manages to do everything that they need to do in a very effective way. A productive person will know what areas need their attention the most. Productivity isn’t about doing the most in a short period. You are in a race with yourself.
They will also be able to plan just the right steps needed to accomplish their goals. They are also very organized and know not to try to do everything at once. If you end up learning how to become more productive, you will be able to accomplish your goals much faster. This is possible simply because productivity is always associated with organization, excellent time management skills and determination.

All of these qualities will be crucial for your success. Being so, if you are looking to becoming more productive today, read these 5 simple steps to become more productive!
1. Focus on your current task
One of the biggest problems that you might face while trying to become more productive is the number of tasks that you need to do daily. This might make you feel like you have too much to do. Since you are seeing them just like a list in your brain, you don’t know where to start.
Often, you might see yourself doing one of the tasks but being worried about the others that you haven’t started yet. This will, of course, get in the way of your current task. Being so, try to focus solely on the task that you are currently doing. More importantly, try to finish each task before jumping to the next one.
You might feel tempted to get ahead of another task while in the middle of the one that you are currently doing. However, if you keep doing your tasks all at once, you will end the day with all of the tasks halfway done, instead of having a few of them (or all of them) completed.
Rule number one of becoming more productive is to focus on your current task at hand.
2. Start with the difficult task (They are often the most important too)
Every day, you will usually have a series of tasks to do. One of them will be the most difficult, and probably the one that should be the most time consuming too. You might feel tempted just to finish the smaller tasks and get them out of the way. After all, they are smaller, and you should be done with them very quickly.
“The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It’s as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today.”
Nolan Bushnell
However, these smaller tasks are often not as important as the main ones, which is why they are so quick to do. If you end up doing a lot of smaller tasks throughout the day, you will have spent all day working, but honestly didn’t move forward with work because you spent the day doing minor things.
By starting from the most challenging task, you will get this out of your way very early in the day. This will put you in a good mood, and allow you to finish the other smaller tasks very quickly. This might also give you an advantage when it comes to business as well. You will be able to complete important tasks that involve other businesses and move them forward to other teams.

3. Create priority lists
Well, and to do that, you will need priority lists. Just like we said at the beginning of this article, you might see your daily tasks as a single list in your brain. Because of this, you think you have so much stuff to do. You become overwhelmed and end up making the mistakes that we listed.
Being so, you must make priority lists. These lists will put your tasks in different categories. You will quickly notice that a lot of the things that you need to do are linked to one another. Being so, you kind of need to do them together, or right after the other. By putting them together, you might realize that you actually don’t have that much stuff to do.
Them, you can rank all of the categories by priority. Then, of course, you should start from rank 1, and make your way down.
4. Give yourself breaks followed by a focused period
Breaks are an essential part of becoming more productive. It sounds weird, I know. But just as we said at the beginning, being productive isn’t about doing the most every day. But instead, about doing what you need to do in the most effective way. This means that someone productive can do all of the tasks they need while remaining stress-free.
There is a study method called Pomodoro Technique that can be used just as well for your business life. The Pomodoro method implies that you need to have moments of extreme focus, followed by breaks.
This will help your brain be extremely productive during this short period of time, enough for you to do a lot of things very useful. You will also get breaks, which will not give you the need to check your phone while in the “focused period”. Set your alarms for 20 minutes of extreme focus, followed by 10 minutes of breaks.
5. Take care of your body
Taking care of your body is the last things on our list, but one of the most critical items. Your body can only do so much while stressed and overwhelmed. You might even feel the need to keep pushing, but you might end up cranky, moody and far from productive.
Try to take care of your eating habits, sleep habits and work out routines. This will make you healthier and stronger, while also improving your clarity of mind and focus. When healthy, you will have no problem during your day of work and will become much more productive.
Try to eat organic foods and exercise at least 4 times a week. A small effort goes a long way, and all you need to do is pay a little more attention to our health.
Key Take Away
To become someone productive, you must make sure you can organise your daily schedule appropriately. You might also remember that it is essential to recognise the quality of everything that you do. Someone who does 80 tasks a day but fails to make them correctly will never be productive because they will end up having to fix a lot of mistakes later on. By following the tips listed in this article, you will be able to become more productive and see your business grow. Remember! Results cancel insults.
